Why does a kangaroo with a joey appear on some pages?

Kanga and her joey Kool are our guides. If you click on them you'll find additional information that does not appear on that page. We feel that the information is interesting but not important for the page.

Erhem! I just spotted some inappropriate content on the Discovering DownUnder site!

We are sorry to say that we have very little control over that. Most sites, like ours, that offer interactivity and discussion forums can be visited by rude and selfish users that may use vulgar and unsuitable language, as well as provide links to inappropriate content and web sites. We hope that these kinds of users will not visit Discovering DownUnder, however, we will be alert if they do. If you notice anything that you believe is wrong, please email us.

What is an Imagemap? Or a link?

An Imagemap is a picture, that if you click on a certain area, you can visit another section. It is very useful in the way that it provides immediate access to the site's more commonly used sections. A link simply go from one part of our site to another. The links can be a highlighted word or a phrase.

Why aren't the Imagemaps working?

On our site we have decided to use client-side image maps. These are faster because everthing needed is written in the html and you don't need access the server. However, only Netscape 2.0+ and Internet Explorer 3.0 can read these image maps. We have provided text links below the imagemaps so it won't be a problem for anyone!
