Our Thoughts So Far

Here we will write our conclusions about our project.

  • The project of Zero to Heroes has helped me to stand up and do something about what I have always wanted, stop violence. I have been able to meet great people along the way who will always be heroes in our eyes. I have gotten better at editing pictures, videos and using programs. The best thing about this proyect is that I feel like we are really getting to people and having good responses from them. I think that our society can change, but they have to continue things like our movement. Also I have seen their commitment and I know that they will be a great influence in our society. And if they can stop this violent actions and become heroes, then I truly think that the rest of Puerto Rico can as well!

  • By participating in this project I have acquired another perspective towards violence and how I see it. I did so by listening to the people we interviewed when they were speaking their experiences. I learned how to work with the programs we used for this project. We also participated giving speeches about violence in front of various crowds.

  • This project has helped me get a better view of the problems that truly affect us in our community. It has also helped me get over my shyness, a bit. I learned how to work as a team, record videos, work in photoshop, and create forums. I felt better when I made this project, because I truly thought that I was not doing much against violence. This has truly changed my life.

  • This project has helped me in many ways. I’ve had to work harder, speak in public, and do other things as well. The project has also made his purpose and made me more conscience about the violence in our island. I also feel accomplished whenever I saw a child, teenager or adult say that our project has changed them. There were some things I didn’t enjoy. Sometimes editing a video took too long or when people would cancel their shirt. There were times were I thought “We could have done this instead of that…” or “If we had more time…”. Apart for those things, I enjoyed being a part of the project and knowing that we are doing something right that can change lives for the better.

  • This project helped me learn to appreciate more life, stop acting violent and learn from other persons. Our biggest obstacles were the time and the organization of the activities because we have other activities in school and out of school. What I liked the most was to record videos and the forums we did because we got the chance to interact with other persons. This project helped me develop all the 21st century skills like critical thinking, working with technology, resolving problems, creativity and communication. What I really didn't like was the editing process because it was to long and it needed time. The best of all is that we finished it and completed all the goals and the mission. I am a Real Hero, what are you waiting for?
