The graph above shows the sales of Bookmarks A, B and C for three month ended on 10 April 2012. Based on the graph, we could see that a highest sale is in February with total sales of RM 83.00. While the total sales for March is RM 82.50 and only RM 34.50 in April. The sales decline in March and April due to the fact that the second week of March is Mid-Term holiday and we ended the sales on the second week of April.
Bookmark B and C received great feedback from our customers in February and Mac. The highest sale for Bookmark B is on February while the peak sale for Bookmark C is on March. Sadly, Bookmark A did not get many sales and its total sales are almost the same for this three month.
After 3 month of running the business, Smart Kids Yanani got the total sales of RM 200. Sadly, we did not achieve our sales goals RM 320 meaning that we are missing RM 120. The promotion and our sales strategies did help a lot, however the business itself (selling bookmarks) cannot attract as many customer as we expected. We have made a few assumptions. First, our market survey only poll people who like to read books or collect bookmarks. So, next time we should also conduct observation and interview to confirm our poll analysis. Second, our bookmarks are not as good and attractive as we thought it would be. We should have someone to monitor our product quality. Lastly, we should lower our price maybe below RM 1.
As a conclusion, Smart Kids Yanani has the potential, strength and opportunity to be a successful business. We accept the fact that we did achieve our sales goal, but we now know our weakness. In the future with support from teachers and parents, we will strike back and make sure it will succeed.
