BIOSPHERE 2

Above is a map of the Biosphere 2 complex.

In Arizona a group of scientists joined together to reconstruct the biospheric environment in order to try the flawed experiments again. On January 1st, 1996, Columbia University joined with Biosphere 2 to form Biosphere 2 Center, Inc. They are currently conducting shorter experiments. In addition to that, no one is sealed inside these experiments. There are no longer any long term plans for experimentation with humans living inside. In fact, scientists, maintenance crews and occasionally groups of students go in and out each day. Biosphere 2 Center is now a place for visitor programs, scientific research, conferences, and classes for students of all ages.
