The third collection, which title comes from the poem "Notes from a Nonexistent Himalayon Expedition", consists of 20 verses.It is called her real literacy debut as it reaches the maturity of Szymborska's later works with typical to her style self-doubt, wit and irony. For the first time Szymborska's poetry opens up for different to human world phenomenons and living creatures. Those different beings have their own reality which is impenetrable to us. They exist independently to our judgement. Penetrating the subject of Prehistory and the origin of human species brings Szymborska to the question who we are as human being.
