He was fascinated by Chardin, and during his journey to
Italy Signorelli (a copy of his paintings is on the cover
of Milosz's essey volume), Pallaiuolo.

- Favoritue Authors In the time of his youth
he readed various authors: light literature, books of
Schopenhauer, biological books,
"Wyzwania"(Challenges) St Augustus,
"Czarodziejska Gora" (Magic Mountain) Thomas
Mann, "Trzynascie fajek" (Thirtenn pipes) Ilja
Erenburg. During the world war he started to read Blake's
books. The biggest influence on him had the poetry of
Oscar Milosz. He was also interested in Greek philosophy
(Tukidydes, Herodot, Heraklit)
- First Translations In gramma-school he
translated "Methamorphosis" by Ovide.
- Greek Milosz started to learn Greek
language at the age of 60. He was especially interested
in early Christian writings.
- Movie Script Short after the world war
cooperating with Jerzy Andrzejewski he wrote a script
"Robinson of Warsaw". The story is about a
lonely man in a destroyed, post-war Warsaw. Unfortunately
the management of "Polski Film" (Polish Film)
decided to change the script. They added more heros, to
make it show social conflicts. The result war that the
story became a parody. Milosz withdraws form the project.

Uprising in the year 1863 he was an adjutant of
Sienakowski - Polish general.Stanislawa Lopacinska -
german origin
Aleksander Milosz - studied building of roads and
bridges. He was fascinated in journeys.
Kunatowie - according to the legend this family comes
from the north of Poland. Their coat-of-arms was an axe.
The family owned land near the Lithuania border. Milosz
spend there vacations when he was young.
Syruciowie - they settled near river Niewiaza. Their
mansion was in Szejtany, described by Milosz in
"Dolina Issy"(Issy's Valey)
