Motion - what is it and why does it happen?? It could be a car moving on a road, a hockey player taking a slap shot on net, a quarterback throwing into the end zone. Are these examples of motion? Well, this section in my lab will help to clear up these concepts. Let me first start off by defining exactly what motion is. Essentially, motion is the change of position or place of an object. A car rolling down a hill, a ball flying through the air, a goalie moving to stop a shot are all examples of motion. To many this concept is fairly obvious, meaning that we all know what motion is. But, do we know what or who causes motion? For the answer to this we will have to travel back in time and meet some people who can help us out. So, click on the time machine to proceed.
