It is a nice web site but, could you put in more information about the greatest mind that ever lived. Albert Einstien, I am doing a report on him and it would be great is I could get some more information out of these sites and so far this is the only site that I actually pulled some information off about him, so it would be ever so great if there was even more info. Thanxs so much and I'll love you people forever if you could do that for me. Oh and you have my email and it would be a treat in a way if you could send me some juicy facts about him. Thanxs again!

I am a home schooling teacher(I teach my daughter at home). She is in the 4th grade. This has been a wonderful addition to our homeschool curriculum. It was extremely user friendly. It was fun to read through. I love the interview idea. The quiz was also a great attatchment. She was extremely excited about completing it and seeing her score. We will be back to this sight when we reach other topics of study. Thank you. you did a great job

Nice site. I'll make sure that my kids visit it (and actually read it). p.s. Question 7 in "Electricity and Magnetism" asks what charge a protron (sic) carries. I assumed you meant "proton" and answered that it carries a positive charge. I was told that was incorrect. Thanks.

I just wanted to say keep up the good work you´ve done here, but you have to be sure that the answers to the quiz-parts are correct. The Doppler effect answer is not correct since the Doppler effect has nothing to do with the intensity of the waves. The Doppler effect is based on the increase or decrease in frequency due to the velocity and direction of the sound-emitting object towards or away from the observer. /Henrik

I'd like to compliment you all on a terrific effort. I realize that you are all students so what you did is pretty outstanding. However as an experienced physics teacher I'd like to comment on your comprehensive quiz: #1 What Galileo is BEST known for is highly subjective. #5 When an object falls from a height, it's acceleration is very much dependent on it's mass (unless you are constraining the problem to small objects falling on a large planet - I understand what you are getting at but the question is worded poorly). #6 is not 'NOTA' but rather "two of the above". #25 See a previous message, your physics is incorrect. #8 Your script appear to be in error, it recognizes choice d as 'NOTA' #29 Sonar determines distances of objects based on the time it takes for the wave to return. This implies that the speed of sound is necessary along with the echo! #30 You can not 'see' sound waves - ever. You can use imaging technology to visualize them. The question is poorly worded. 37. A proton is positive not neutral. 43. Besides using 'bend' for 'refract', which you shouldn't do, light does not always bend upon changing medium. It does 'always change speed'. It's a good site but it pains me to see incorrect physics, especially on a quiz.

You wrote in your Copernicus section that he did not release his theory because the church would punish with death if you went against their theories. Well, he actually dedicated his book to the Pope, who he showed the book to. The pope thought it should be published, but Copernicus was the one who wasn't ready! The theories might never have been published if it weren't for the urgings of Rheticus. The church wouldn't have killed him, and for the most part was interested in his theories, with the exception of Luther, who wasn't Catholic anyhow. Copernicus has a comfy job in the church, gotten from his uncle, and could have done little to offend the church, only because he was a part of it.

In your Biography of Albert Einstien I noticed that you gave him credit for the conception of the idea of sustaining a useful nuclear chain reaction. When the truth lies far from that Leo Szilard is the scientist who believed a chain reaction was possible and acctually showed Einstien his idea and Einstien was extremely skeptical. Just for the information Atomic Energy is the child of Szilard not Einstien get your facts straight.

Interesting concept, but some questions were poorly worded and others were just plain wrong. For example, on question #8, I would say that the forces do cancel out, with the action of the bullet equal and opposite to the reaction of the gun and the person holding the gun. 0n question #25 doppler has nothing to do with the intensity of waves, rather with the increase or decrease in frequency due to the relative motion of the sound/light emitting object toward or away from the observer. Also, the spelling really needs drastic improvement. Have you ever tried a spell checker? Our daughter's 9th grade Science teacher is using this test as a significant part of her class. I think the quality ought to be higher, and the accuracy 100%. Question #37 was wrong, the answer should be positive. On question #42, light is already a form of energy, thus the question is at best poorly worded.

I am a Head Teacher of Science in an Australian school and was going to review this site for the New South Wales Department of School Education after someone else had recommended it. However, we are only supposed to review sites that are highly recommended. Apart from the flashy graphics on the index page the site is really boring. It is a pity that there are very few meaningful graphics for aspects of light, sound and motion. The text is really just out of any ordinary book. Why use the web to just show simple basic text when you have the technology at your disposal to produce something unique and worthwhile? Using Real player is a good idea but most Australian students would find the accent difficult to follow. Why didn’t you use the Real player to give some sound samples, wave patterns and trace light paths? The quizes are rather simplistic and your server would not receive my answers.
