Job Requirements
To be able to commit to being available for all 81 home games and,
possibly,
other special events that might require some announcing activity.
Also, to know the game and understand its flow, to be able to
anticipate things like pitching changes,
pinch hitters, pinch runners, or defensive changes.
Additionally,
the ability to speak clearly and to enuciate properly.
The ability to concentrate on the game and be aware of every pitch,
batting orders, umpires signals and uniform numbers is also
quite important.
Finally, if one has a great voice (I don't) it can be a very
definite added bonus.
