Player Stats
At the very top is some personal information and the name.
The chart below gives an overview of each of the player's seasons
- YR = YEAR: the year each row is referring to
- CLUB = CLUB: the team the player was on
- G = GAMES: the number of games played (this could be low due to injury)
- AB =
AT BATS:
the number of times the player has stepped up to the plate, not counting
times when he/she is walked, hit by a pitch, hits a sacrifice bunt or fly,
or is otherwise awarded first base because of interference or an obstruction.
- R =
RUNS:
the number of runs the player scored
- H =
HITS:
the number of times the player hit and reached base
- 2B =
DOUBLES:
the number of hits that were doubles
- 3B =
TRIPLES:
the number of hits that were triples
- HR =
HOME RUNS:
the number of home runs
- RBI =
RUNS BATTED IN:
the number of times people on the player's team (including himself) have scored thanks to his hitting
- SB =
STOLEN BASES:
the number of stolen bases
- SO =
STRIKEOUTS:
the number of times the player has struck out
- AVG = BATTING AVERAGE: the ratio of the number of times that batter has
hit safely to the number of
at bats
The totals for all the years are given. This is done by adding up all of the categories, except for batting average, which is averaged
