Sea horse
Description:Sea horses are named by the shape of their heads, which look like a horse's head. They have a long, tubular snout. They are covered in large, bony plates with spines at the places where the plates connect. There are about 24 species.
What it eats:Sea horses eat crustaceans.
Where it lives:Sea horses live near the shore. They live in warm and temperate seas.
Habits/daily life:Males, unlike other species, take charge of the eggs, once laid. They are kept in a pouch on the stomach untill the eggs hatch.
