Jellyfish


Description:Jellyfish are bell-shaped, free-swimming creatures that can be very dangerous to humans. They sting their prey to paralyze it in order to eat it. Tentacles help them do this. Jellyfish have a nervous system without a brain. One body opening serves as the mouth and anus. Less than one percent of them is organic matter, the rest is water.

What it eats:Jellyfish eat small fish.

Where it lives:Jellyfish live about everywhere under the sea.

Habits/Daily life:Jellyfish swim by contractions of muscles around the rim of the bell.
