Introduction

Introduction

Gopher, like Telnet, has become rather scarce since the introduction of the World Wide Web. Gopher is like a menu containing lists of other gopher sites, FTP sites, files, Web sites, and Telnet sites. You can access these different pages and sites from the gopher menus. When you visit a gopher site, it will look much like a FTP site. Netscape and Microsoft browsers have Gopher built-in. For some gopher sites, try a search engine on the Web.
