The Battle of Saratoga was another major battle of the American Revolution. An American victory convinced the unpersuaded Spanish and French governments to form an alliance with the colonists. This alliance aided their cause greatly. The Americans were supplied with much needed money, supplies, and ammunition. The French fleet later helped win the war for America.
