-SKI PATROL: In areas where patrollers are on duty to assist you, all injuries must be reported, no matter how severe.
-BE AWARE, SKI WITH CARE: All fencing, poles, signage, and other marking devices are in place to inform you of potential hazards or obstacles. The markers will not protect you from injury and it is your responsibility to stay away from marked areas. In addition to alpine skiers, you may be joined on the slopes by nordic skiers, snowboarders, and disabled skiers using special equipment. Always remain aware of your surroundings.
-YOUR RESPONSIBILITY CODE: Regardless of how you choose to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below:
1. Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people, objects, or animals.
2. People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.
3. You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.
4. Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
5. Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment (which are already included on most rental equipment).
6. Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
7. Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride, and unload safely. Do not jump form the lift. In the event of prolonged stoppage, the Ski Patrol or mountain staff will evacuate you.
8. If you have a collision resulting in injury to another skier, it is your responsibility to stay at the collision site until the Ski Patrol arrives.
9. Do not ski slopes too difficult for your ability.
