Harper v. Virginia Board of Elections (1966)

The Supreme Court found that Virginia's poll tax was in conflict with the Fourteenth Amendment's "equal protection clause." They could find no reasonable relationship between voting and paying a tax. This paved the way for eliminating all restrictions on voting.
