Salinity
This tests for the salt content of the river or lake. In most lakes and rivers, this should not be high. If you find it is high (or even too high), you might also find the lack of life within your river. High salinity kills aquatic life and can kill rivers and lakes. If your river or lake is supposed to be fresh water, and you find that the salinity level is too high, contact your local council.
