The ALIVE site exposes the huge and arcane world of Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Life to everyone, especially students. Designed for students, by students, ALIVE is an interactive tour of AI and AL. The basic principles of various fields of AI are illustrated in a textual style that interests and excites the user, and the educational experience of the site is further reinforced by interactive examples of AI/AL. Collaboration between users is also fostered by employing discussion forums that allow users to air their views and opinions about AI/AL issues, further enriching the educational experience. ALIVE also examines the social impact of Artificial Intelligence on society in a series of though provoking and informative articles. AI is a burgeoning field, and we can all expect it to touch our lives in one way or another in the future. It is our responsibility to inform and to prepare ourselves for this coming revolution. All in all, ALIVE aims to educate and to nurture an awareness in students of this technology that will embrace their lives, and everyone's lives in the future. Through this awareness, we can gain an understanding of AI's capabilites, implications on our lives, limitations and its infinite possibilities.
