Who was Harry Truman ?

    Harry Truman was born in Lamar, Missouri, but grew up in Independence, Missouri. For twelve years he farmed the land. During World War I, he served as a captain in Field Artillery. In 1922, Truman became a judge of Jackson County, and twelve years later a U.S. Senator.

    Truman entered his Presidency in the middle of World War II. After the war, his administration helped Europe to recover from the damages all wars cause. His efforts were to promote democracy and economic growth in Europe. Domestically, he implemented what was called the Fair Deal, which was designed to help out the workforce of America.
