Benjamin Harrison

Birth-Death: (1833 - 1901 ) Term: (1889-1893 )

Harrison expanded the nation's frontier. With Secretary of State Blaine the United States had participated in conflicts around the world from the Samoan Islands to the Bering Sea. Also six new states: North and South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington entered the Union under Harrison. The United States was growing.
