Dwight David Eisenhower

Birth-Death: (1890 - 1969 ) Term: (1953-1961 )

President Eisenhower made world peace his goal. During his Presidency, he constantly worked towards lessening tensions between the Soviet Union and the United States. Throughout his two terms, Eisenhower consistently looked for peaceful resolutions to problems, and criticized those who resorted to violence. It is interesting to note that before becoming President, Eisenhower went to West Point, and served in both World Wars.
