1928 - Kellogg-Briand Treaty

    The Kellogg-Briand Pact was signed on the anniversary of World War I. Its objective was to outlaw war altogether. However, it failed miserably because neither the United States, nor the other European nations were ready to join one international peace-keeping organization.
