I loved your site I have only seen pictures of platypus, but I think that they are the most unique, attractive, and, intresting animals I ever known. If I could have one for a pet and keep it in my bathtub I would. I wish that I could. Maybe one day I will own a platpussary. Thanks for the great info.

Excellent website. Absolutly mad about these creatures (collect "platynalia" from around the world due to Oz relatives). True story : was poisioned by a stuffed platypus on a museum colection. Was a swop with Museum in Melborne in 1890's, but taxiderny was rather naff and I had an alergic reaction to it! While it was prob. the asenic they used in late victorian times for stuffing "furries", I'm sure there was a smile on the animals face...
