Setting Your Goals

Here is a list of great tips for setting simple goals that will help organize your life and achieve success.

Set reasonable time limits. This is so you don't get behind in your plans. If you get set back far enough, you'll never catch up.

Every time you accomplish a goal, give yourself a small reward. This helps improve self-motivation.

List your goals according to priority. Do the most important things first to make sure they get done.

Reach as high as you can, but be realistic. Don't promise yourself something you can't do because if you don't succeed, then it will lower your self-esteem.

Make a plan of some sort to help you map out how you're going to achieve your goal.

Imagine reaching your goal. Being positive will also help to keep you motivated.

Stimulate yourself. Concentrate on making your plan work.

Set goals in sports, school, and possibly your personal life.

These tips should be used to gain more control in your life rather than making you a slave to a schedule. It is also a means of reducing stress. (See our Stress page for more information.)
