THE TEAM

In the center is Mr. Harry Shaver (Coach) - I am presently teaching Advanced Placement Physics and Accelerated Physics in the Half Hollow Hills School District in Dix Hills, New York. I am also the director of independant science research at High School West. I received his B.A. and M.A. in Science Education from the State University of New York in 1967 and 1969 respectively. My second master's degree was awarded in Theology from the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, New York, in 1991. My most recent awards (1996) were to be selected as Suffoulk Counties Secondary Science Teacher of the Year by the Suffoulk County Science Teachers Association, and to be coach of a finalist team in the first annual Thinkquest Contest.

On the left is Abbey Daniel (Team Member) - I am a student, and will be attending Briarcliffe College. At the school I will be studind graphics design. I love to drive and sing. I have been doing the research portions of this site so I have a good knowledge of India.

On the right is Kiran Shenoy (Team Leader) - By the end of the summer I will be a senior at Half Hollow Hills High School West. I learned HTML about a year ago and decided to enter the Thinkquest Contest. The site that we have designed it fit fall all ages. There are facts and statistics for the adults and music samples, word translations and Newsgroups for the younger people. We have created a few Newsgroups to address various points that exist in India today. If there is a topic you would like addressed, please email us from our homepage and tell us what you want. if we are given the opportunity we will add any information wanted by our visitors.
