..Mastering light allows you
to become the best photographer possible. Since you must master light to
become an exceptional photographer, we would like to introduce three
type of lights to you first.
Natural Light
- Light that originates from the sun. This light may shine
directly on the subject or it may be diffused by clouds or shadows. Sunlight
is one of the most difficult to control, for it is the most unpredictable.
Since you can not move the position of the sun, you the photographer have to
move either yourself or the subject, to achieve the desired lighting.
Existing Light - Light that is usually indoors,
to distinguish it from natural light. The most common problem
with this type of light, is that the value of the light is typeically low.
Therefore, when metering your scene make sure to gauge it as you survey the scene you
are planning to shoot.
Artificial Light
- Artificial light is usually added to a scene that has exsisting light.
This type of light can eliminate unwanted shadows, and can highlight desired features
or appearences of your subject.
