Loading a Ricoh KR Super II 35 mm

Using Kodak Tri-X 400

1. Turn camera so that back is facing you. Lift the film rewind mechanism until the door opens.

2. Open back completely and remove rewound film if necessary. Ensure shutter is closed completly.

3. After inserting the film in the left film cavity, make sure the roll shafts have locked the new spool in place by pushing the film rewind knob down. Pull the lead film just enough to feed it into the film takeup reel. DO NOT pull it more than two inches past the reel. 4. Feed the lead into the film takeup reel. Make sure it is at least several mm in. Then pull the film advance lever one complete cycle, while very gently holding the film flat against the camera for a small amount of resistance.
5. If the film did not pop out of the reel then close the camera back completly and proceed advancing the film until the counter is at exposure 1. If the film did pop out then repeat steps 3 and 4. Make sure not to give it too much resistance when advancing the film. Also make sure the lead has been properly inserted and the film sprockets are aligned with the teeth on the camera's film track.
