..Flashes usually can be added stratigically
to a scene, to enhance a subject's features or provide additional light to eliminate unwanted shadows.
There are many types of lights, many we will not discuss in this section. Some that
we will discuss are strobes, umbrella flash, and softboxes. All of these lights emitt short
short spurts of very bright light. The gas filled bulbs that flashes typically use, provide a great
deal of bright light, that can be used over and over many times. Another advantage to having
a camera with a flash, is that no matter what type of light a scene has, you can give that
scene a great deal more if it is neaded. This becomes useful when you are traversing
through multiple scenes, such as a museum or indoor/outdoor mall.
