1 - Before turning
off the lights make sure all your chemicals
are ready and all the materials are close by
the enlarger for ease of use. |

2 - Now turn the
lights out. Turn on the enlarger head. Make
sure your photo paper is not in contact with
any light. Check the f-stop setting on the
enlarger, to that which your instructor has
determined. |

3 - Select a filter
which will control contrast. Often times
filters are not used until a test strip is
made. If you know which filter you'll need,
take it out now. |

4 - Slide the
filter into the filter mount. |

5 - After placing
your negative in the negative carrier, place
the negative carrier in the slide stage. |
