..If your contact sheet came out acceptable, then you should have one or several images picked out for printing. The images on your contact sheet are small representations of what your final print will look like without any manipulation of contrast. Basically however the images look is not always how they turn out. As we talked about earlier, variable contrast paper, allows you to compensate for too much or too little contrast in a negative (otherwise known as dense and thin).

..The instructions we provide in printing are fairly generic. Most enlargers have some basic features that make them function all the same. This is true for black and white photography.
