5 - Turn off the
white lights in the darkroom, and turn on the
safelight and the enlarger light. Then,
adjust the enlarger head so that the light is
large enough to cover an 8 x 10 area
generously. |

6 - Set the
enlarger lens aperature to f-11. Note: you
may want to use a mild filter like a 2.5 to
achieve some contrast in your print. |

7 - Check the timer
so that it is at 11 seconds. Then turn the
enlarger light off. |

8 - With only the
safelight on, take out 1 sheet of photo
paper. If it is RC paper make sure the
emulsion sied is up. This side will be
slightly more reflective then it's flip side.
Position it so that the light will equally
expose the enite surface of paper. DO NOT
TURN THE LIGHT ON YET! |
