For what do people use a mill?

Usually people think that the mills only are being used for the grinding of grain. That is not true. A big part of the mills are being used for grinding grain, but there are so many other kinds of mills.

In the table beneath there are a few names of mills. The names have got to do with the shape of the mill. Next from that there stands the function of the mill. Many of them are corn mills, but there are also much polder mills between them. The polder mills pumped the water from deep under the ground up or they just pump the water out of a lake.
