Music from Around the World

Select a continent and learn more about the music of the continent. Then select a country to learn more about it. We have given a brief sketch of the economic structure of each country. We also reported the number of radios, televisions and telephones in each country because that information may help you understand how music and other forms of thought are now being shared around the world. With technology, we are able to preserve and then share ideas and sounds in an instant.

Beginning December 1, 1997,
there will be a collection of holiday songs submitted by students around the world

and many of the national anthems of the world.
