Banjo

The banjo produces sound when any of its five strings are strummed
or plucked. Notes are played by positioning fingers on the strings
along the long slender neck of the banjo.
Sound resonates in the circular body over which parchment has been stretched.

Banjolin is a small banjo with only four strings.
A banjorine is a small banjo pitched a 4th higher than a normal banjo.
