Bagpipe

The bagpipe produces sound when air is forced from the bag
over the reeds. Melodies are played on the chanter which
has fingerholes like a flute. The additional tubes are the drone pipes,
which sustain the pitch as an accompaniment to the melody.The bag is usually made of sheepskin
though rubber is sometimes used.

Scottish Highland bagpipes are filled by mouth.
Irish Union pipes or Northumbrian pipes are played by
bellows worked by the player's arm.

The bag-hornpipe was a primitive type of bagpipe without a drone.
