The native women lived very differently than we do today. However some things are similar to our lives today. They were involved in keeping a home, taking care of their families, and living their lives in their place in history.
The Russians originally came to discover if there was a land link between Russia and the new land. They never found a land link, but what they did find was far more valuable to them than they could have imagined - furs, and lots of them. At that time rich furs would bring a high price. In their excitement they hunted several species of animals almost to extinction.
