Woodland Areas
The woodlands are home to many plants and animals. There is usually a good year-round water supply and the weather does not get too harsh in the winter. Hare and deer are the main source of pray for many animals.

Temperate Forest
The temperature in the temperate forest can change from -30°c to 30°c. A variety of trees are found including maple, beech, pine, hickory, and oak. White-tailed deer are common in many woodland areas. Animals such as the bobcat depend heavily on the hare for survival, where larger animals such as the mountain lion can more easily take down a full grown deer.
