Physical Characteristics
The grant's gazelle is about 5-6 feet tall and can weigh up to 100 lb. They have s-shaped ringed horns which are about 18-32 inches, females are a little bit smaller. They also have very long legs and hooves which help them run faster. Large ears to pick up sound better and eyes on the side of their heads. Sometimes a gazelle will bounce stiff-legged to fool predators or as an expression of excitement.
Daily Life, Habitat and Feeding
The grant's gazelle lives in semi-deserts and open savannas. It is a herbivore and eats grasses, woody plants, and herbs. Gazelles are found in mixed groups of about 30.
Reproduction and young
After a period of 6 months a single young is born. An hour after birth young are able to move and walk. After birth it will live for approximately 11 years.
