• depolymerization -- breaking down a polymer, or complex structure (protein), into its monomers, or single parts (amino acids)
• enzyme -- protein which accelerates chemical reactions in the cell
• pepsinogen -- inactive chemical found inside the stomach glands which keeps the stomach glands (which are made of protein) from digesting themselves
