Let's face it. Sea turtles cannot save themselves. However, there are many ways that you can help these beautiful creatures:

• One way is to volunteer your at time at the beach, were you can host a beach clean up or go to nesting sites to observe the turtles in their natural habitat.

• Another way that you can help is to support turtle organizations like the TAMUG (Texas A & M University at Galveston) and to help in their research.
  
  
• Report injured turtles to one of the following organizations:
• Sea Turtle Research Project at Texas A & M in Galveston.
• Local Turtle Stranding Network contacts.
• Sea World.
• Local Nature Centers and Arboretums.

• One of the best ways to protect sea turtles is the simple act of buying and demanding only turtle safe shrimp.
  • All of the above things are exellent ways to help, but probably the best way you can save the sea turtles is to spread the word about how these animals are endangered and that they can no longer be over looked and ignored. People everywhere need to know how they can help the sea turtles.
