Non-Renewable
Gas: Gas energy is made by burning gases that create emissions and heat in a small contained area. The emissions are burned to turn a turbine, which rotates a generator, producing electricity.

Nuclear: Nuclear energy is made by splitting uranium atoms that produce heat, which is used to boil water for steam to drive turbines. Uranium is mined from certin rocks. Nuclear energy is efficient, but dangerous because radioactive byproducts are produced and not easily disposed of, and meltdowns can occur.

Geothermal: Geothermal energy is created when water comes into contact with heated rocks underground creating steam. Drilling into the rock releases the trapped steam which is then used to power turbines. Geothermal energy is nonpolluting.
