Summary: Tom Jones, a presumed child, is taken in and raised as the child of an English gentleman. Tom is a likable, free spirited man in adulthood, with a great love for the beutiful Sophie Western, but has an inability to resist the advances of any other attractive lady. Despite this weakness, Tom eventually finds his proper place in love and life.
