Frog Games

If you haven't checked out the Frogs of New England Species info yet, please do so. After you have had a chance to look over some of the various frogs that live in New England, let's see how much you remember! See how well you do at matching a frog's description to its picture! The following link will allow you to download a shareware version of the classic arcade game "Frogger" (or Leaper as this version is called). This version is for PCs and is zipped using PKZip (we are working on finding a Mac version). The object is to get the frog across the road without getting him killed (a very noble goal, as we certainly hate to see frogs die).
To Download the file, right-click this link and select "save link as..." or the equivalent command on your browser

Or, if you prefer, play a Java version of the game by following this link.

In today's world of electronic graphics, we feel that it is interesting and useful to see what you can make the technology do. We are holding a frog electronic coloring contest -- simply select one of the following two images and click on it to download a bigger version of the picture. Then open the file up in a paint program, color it in, and then e-mail the file to billerj@compuserve.com Your picture will be put up on a separate page. Everyone is encouraged to try -- remember, the more artistic and creative, the better! Or, if you prefer, dowload any image off of this page and do something artistic to it. Either way, about once every three weeks (for about the next four months) we will choose the best submission and you will receive a Gray Tree Frog T-shirt, compliments of The Vernal Pool Association in Reading, MA.
