Carpenter Ants

Carpentar ants feed on protein and sugar when they are not trying to find food in our houses. Carpenter ants also eat dead insects. They also like to eat aphids' honedew. When they are in our houses, they love the meat, jelly, sugar and other sweet stuff kept in the kitchen. They get their name 'carpenter ants' because they don't actually eat wood, they just make tunnels in it which makes them remove it because of which they get their name.

Honey Pot Ants

The honey pot ants are also known as honey ants. They live in dry areas all over the world, mostly in Australian deserts where food and water is less for a long time. Garden ants

Everyone knows about the garden ant.It is found every where and what ever we do it won't die out.The garden ant queen is as big as 15 mm while the worker is 4-5 mm.They are flying ants and are seen in the middle or late summer.Black garden ant has feet have small stiff hair all over the leg. Every leg has two claws on one side of it. They use it as taking things or snatching it from others. In between is a small, round pad. This helps the black garden ant to walk and climb and also helps it to walk upside down on leaves. Black garden ant eats other insects that are smaller than them. Ina colony a worker ant looks after the eggs that they are laid, and they also feed them until they are adult ants. The worker supplies the grub to the ant through liquid food, and makes the hard food soft by chewing it. Worker ants keep the eggs in warm and damp places. Worker ant brings food for the queen ant.

Tiny Knights in Armour

Army Ants are ants that form hunting raids of thousands and hunt for food together. As the larvae ants' demand for food grows the ants split up in two or three groups to search for food. In the same way the human army sends troops to attack and weaken their enemy. They send the troops to the weakened points and then conquer the country of the enemy.

Ants and humans are very much alike and should work together to make a better world.

The Black Flying/ Winged Ant

Black flying ants are translucent and their length is about 3-4 centimetres. Their wings aren't of the same size on either sides. They are completely black from head to abdomen, and they are of course able to fly which is how theybget their name. Queen ants aren't the only winged members in the colony of black flying ants, as those black flying ants have been seen which aren't the size of a queen.

Leaf cutter ant

Leaf cutter is a very common name given to 39 species that live in Central and South America. It is a fungus growing ant from two genera. These two genera are Atta (these are the 15 described species) and the second is Acromyrmex (these are the 24 described species).

All the 39 species of these ants have made and more advanced agricultural system have a symbiotic relationship with the fungus those ants grow. The ants eat a structures called gongylidia which is made by the fungus (different species of ants grow and every type of fungus is different that is produced by the different ants) and it only grows from the underground nests of ants.

Super Duper Fact:  The leaf cutter ant doesn't exactly eat  the leaves gathers, it actually wraps it with fungus, and then it  sucks up the inputs to metabolism released as the fungus metabolizes the plant substance which resists breakage.

Leaf cutter ant goes up a tree cuts a leaf.Though how much big the leaf they can cut it and carry it.The cut the leaf with their jaws and their jaws vibrate 1000 times per second. They not only cut leaf ,they also can cut flowers. When it is is cut away then it is their day. Then they take it to their nests. They don't face any problem as they are very strong they take it in their backs.the way they go becomes their highway. They take it to their nest and then they add the fungus to it.
