Who is the real "weapon" that you use? part 1

The Paper Machine Forest Destroyer
Paper is thin, white and flat material, which is produced by compression of fibers derived from the pulp. Fibers used are usually natural, and contains cellulose. Paper is in use in various aspects of daily life.
But, have you ever imagined in your mind? If you read thousands of pages it is like you read a thousands of trees? Sure is hard work. So, fortunately we already have the paper to make all the things easier for us to writing, printing, reading, etc. Whenever and wherever we go, we use paper, especially to us, the students in high school. Paper is our hero. We need it most. But from every thing that has a good side must also have a downside. We will tell you about the reality of the paper machine who will kill us slowly but sure. Especially paper which made of tress.
From each sheet of paper we have used, do you realize that we also helped hundreds of tree felling. Teak, resin, pine, maple, and pine is a tree that are sought after by the loggers, both legal and illegal. Because the trees can become a quality raw material in paper-making.
Indeed, a paper that was made from trees will produce high-quality of paper, but do you know in the paper making process that will produce pulp. Pulp requires a variety of processes, both chemical processes and mechanical process, then go through the process Sulphites (granting H2SO4) and alkali process (addition of NaOH and Na2S). Various processes can be categorized as EPLH (Destroyer Effects of Environment), a very large impact for human life. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), dimethyl sulfide (CH3SH3) and other compounds that are toxic and malodorous, becoming the biggest impact we can feel until today. This is the reason that makes the paper-making in conflict with environmental sustainability.
Besides, paper-making has reduce many of trees. Forest is extremely decreasing to supply paper for people of the world. It is the biggest effect for the earth global warming. I will tell you again about this.
* Twenty-four trees can produce one ton of writing papers
* Twelve trees can produce one ton of newsprint
* For one ton of high-quality paper, we need fifteen trees
* For one ton of low-quality paper, we need eight trees
So, do you still no matter to the ruined forest?

From Log Become a Paper
In paper industry, paper was made by modern technology. Let me tell you how the paper-making process. The process is divided into two process. First, paper will go through the pulp process. And then it will process in a giant paper machine.
Paper Making Process (Pulp)
- Wood which taken from forests will be cut (known as the log). Logs will store in the shelter a few months with order to dissolve the log and maintain the sustainability of raw materials.
- Discard wood's leather with a machine known as the De - Barker.
- And then wood will be cut into small size (chip) with a chipping machine. The suitable size of the chip was taken if it is not, it will be reprocessed.
- Chips will be cooked in a digester to separate the wood fibers with lignin. There are two kinds in this cooking process, chemical pulping process and mechanical pulping process. The results from the digester is called pulp (pulp). This pulp will processed into paper at paper machine (paper machine).
Paper Making Process (Paper Machine)
- Before entering the paper pulp machine, it needs to have a stock preparation. This section for concocting the raw materials, such: adding dyes to the paper (dye), add substance retention, add filler (to fill the pores - pores between the fibers of wood). Material which comes out from this section is called stock of nine mixed pulp.
- The material has cleaned first with a tool called cleaner. And the material will enter the headbox to form a sheet of paper above fourdinier table. Fourdinier serves to remove water that contained in the wood. The results that come out called by the web (wet paper). Density levels around 20%.
- And then the materials will bring to a machine that will press and spin the materials until the water has been discharged 30%.
- Dryer works to dry the web so the water level reached 6%. The result will roll up in the pop-shaped reel into a big roll of paper (paper roll). This roll paper will be cut to a suitable size and delivered to the consumer.
The Reality Behind Papermaking Process
-
First
A tree trunk that we have cut turned out to produce the oxygen that is needed by three people to breathe. So, if we cut off three trunk of trees, that means we have decrease oxygen supply for three times three = nine people. If we cut ten trees, we decrease three times ten = thirty people. Can imagine that paper industry "only" cut off ten trees each day?
-
Second
In producing one ton of paper takes about three tons of wood and Ninety-eight tons of other raw materials (HVS spend a ream of paper a tree trunk at least five years old. Paper which made from wood give two adverse effects for earth. It makes our earth warmer and warmer.
-
Third
In producing one ton of paper which we use, will produce carbon dioxide approximately 2.6 tons or equal to motor vehicle exhaust gas emissions for six months. Besides, we need approximately 72,200 liters of liquid waste and a ton of solid waste.
-
Fourth
The paper industry is the third fuel energy users world's largest.
-
Fifth
Every day, waste paper worldwide comes from 27 thousand sticks of wood. Whether we cut a lot of tress to make this earth full of waster paper?
