Paper Processing of Algae

Algae as Alternative Material
Finally scientist have discovered an alternative raw material for paper that is of the Red Algae (Gelidium amansii). In the process was almost no contact with chemicals, only takes a neutral chemicals. So incredible.
Availability of this raw materials (Red Algae) are also relatively safe. It requires ten years to grow trees, while the Red Algae only need time in months. And that can be cultivated easily in a calm sea waters. Indonesia and many countries have a lot of this region.
Beside the availability of raw material, we also need to prepare a few things. First, the government must dare to take concern to the production of paper have to switch from wood to red algae. And the govement can support the production and development of the Red Alga’s research. Beside, the paper manufacturers have knowingly and willing to move using the red algae as the feedstock. So, they can develop this project with their fully heart. And the coastal community (fishermen) to develop this Red Algae cultivation, because it obviously would make economic improvement. And the universities can take a role in the development this research.
