How to be Aware of Food/Nutrition Habits?
Did you ever take one scoop of ice cream instead of two because you thought two would give you too many calories? Well if you eat too much food of one kind you can become obese, or overweight. A portion of a certain kind of food is called it's serving size. You need to see how many calories are in a serving size. To find out more read on. Please enjoy our project.
Healthy Snacks

Fresh veggies
Celery, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, pea pods, peppers, radishes, mushrooms... can you think of some? Insead of using fattening dressings, be sure to eat them plain or with non-fattening dressings.

Fresh fruit
Apples, pineapples, bananas, oranges, melons, berries, grapes, pears...can you think of some? Try to be sure not to eat sugar or sweet dips with fruits, instead eat them plain.

Crackers
Saltines, graham, or animal crackers. Use small amounts of peanut butter or cheese.

Low calorie cookies
Vanilla wafers or ginger snaps. Be sure to eat only one serving size.

Popcorn and pretzels
Leave the butter off the popcorn please.

Drinks
100% fruit juice, lowfat milk, and water instead of soda pop.
