Alcohol in the Body

      So how does alcohol work in the body? When someone drinks alcohol, the alcohol goes into the stomach and about 20% of the alcohol goes directly into the bloodstream. Within a few minutes, alcohol is circulated into the bloodstream. The remainder of the alcohol goes into the small intestine where it is eventually passed into the bloodstream.
