Alcohol
Automobile accidents are the leading cause of death among
adolescents and in a very large percentage, alcohol is a factor.
The legal drinking age in most states is 21, but half of teenagers
aged 12-17 drink monthly and three percent drink every day.
Adolescents do not drink as frequently as adults, but when they do
drink, they drink more due to peer pressure. It is hard to say "no"
when all your friends at the party are drinking.
