Bowman's Hill Tower

Bowman's Hill was originally named after Thomas Bowman, an English merchant who traded along the Delaware River in the 1600's. The hill was used as a signal station during the Revolutionary War. The site stands 380 feet above sea level and served as an observatory of enemy movements on the New Jersey side of the river prior to the Battle of Trenton. In 1930, the Bowman's Hill Tower was built to commemorate the lookout of the American Revolution.
